About Eldredge

New Orleans born saxophonist Eldredge Jackson simmers like a pot of hot spicy gumbo when performing on stage. This multitalented musician is bringing new flavor to the music scene with his blend of traditional and smooth jazz peppered with a dash of gospel. El-Jack, as his fans call him, provides a tantalizing musical experience that satisfies the appetite of any listener.

Influenced by artists like David Sanborn, Grover Washington, Jr. and Dexter Gordon, Jackson’s skills as a musician and composer were honed while growing up in Tulsa, Oklahoma and playing at his father’s church where he mastered keyboards, piano, drums, bass, guitar, and obviously, the saxophone. This gospel infusion is readily apparent in his soulful jazz presentation.

With the new release of his latest single, “Second Wind”, El-Jack has been in high demand, sharing his musical gifts with fans across the country; performing in New Orleans (most recently), the Long Beach Jazz Festival, Blues Alley in D.C., Houston, Dallas, San Diego and Wichita. In a nod to his versatility, El-Jack has shared the stage with a diverse cross-section of jazz and R&B greats including, David Sanborn, Al Jarreau, Marcus Miller, Kirk Whalum, Wayman Tisdale, Najee, Jeffrey Osborne, Peabo Bryson, Tevin Campbell and fellow Tulsans, Charlie Wilson and the GAP band.
