Trend: High Contrast Design

March 1, 2018

current obsession in the design world with all things white and bright, it’s only a matter of time before the pendulum swings the other way — and it’s all about achieving the highest contrast with black. Nothing pairs as beautifully with white as its dark counterpoint, and it can be used in dramatic and striking ways when it comes to your home.  I’ve seen it used in several of the houses in CL and it’s not a trend that’ll be going away anytime soon.

A stunning kitchen with a creative spin on the steel window trend. I love the contrasting cabinetry and the marble backsplash. Timeless and chic.

This little scene is excellent inspiration for a weekend DIY. Find a vintage dresser and spray paint it black to get the same look on a budget.
